Pairing Book : Colourful Smoothie Bowls

In my typeography class I was given the project of creating a pairing book. Where I had the task to create a food or beverage inspired book that could pair any two ideas. The project was an individual assignment that lasted four weeks. For my book I decided to do smoothie bowls that were inspired by colours. I included recipies that represented a variety of vibrant colours and featured many different ingredients that made the colours naturally. I photographed all of the photos included using a light box and a variety of differnt table tops and toppings to create the composition. For the creation of the book I used Indesign to design the pages. I used a pale pink, grey, and white on the layout designs. I designed the instuctions using a skript font . This project helped me to strengthen my photography skills. I had the opportunity to work with lighting and compositions. Overall, I was able to create a pairing book that featured photos with good compositions and papes that reflected many natural colours and ingredients.
