Meet the artist!
Becca Grove is a second-year Graphic Design student at Conestoga College. She was born in Kitchener, and currently lives in Waterloo. For as long as she can remember, she has loved the arts and telling stories. Now, as an adult, she brings an illustrative quality to her work and, through it, strives to capture a sense of whimsy in the everyday. As a Graphic Design student, she has had the opportunity to work with multiple clients, including the Camp Winston foundation as part of the 2021 event Creative Day For Social Good [CD4SG], Toyota, and the City of Cambridge.
After completing her college program, Becca aspires to work in the field of book and editorial design—especially in cover illustration and design. Having fond memories of being entranced by book covers from her youth, she hopes to use her illustration abilities—combined with her expanded knowledge of typography and layout—to create book covers that grab readers’ attention and will create positive memories for people.
When not working, Becca enjoys playing piano, listening to music, and going for walks. She also enjoys writing, and has published two books under the name B.R. Grove. Her writing, like the rest of her work, is heavily influenced by themes of nature, folklore, and magic.
