A Bit About Me

Julia Boss-Zister is currently a graphic design student studying at Conestoga College. She takes courses learning fundamentals such as typography, layout, packaging, branding identity and photography. With an interest in typography, her long-term goal is to join a typeface design studio as part of team creating new typefaces. She seeks opportunities to gain experience and exposure to industry professionals to gain credibility and strong working relationships.

Through affiliation with Conestoga College, Julia has worked with clients such as Toyota and the City of Cambridge. In addition, she has also participated in Creative day for social good, a 24 hour design marathon in support of Canadian non-profit organizations Through these partnerships, she has experience working collaboratively as part of a team composed of fellow students, industry professionals and clients.

She is proficient in the Adobe creative Suite programs; InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, XD and After Effects, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. Julia is working towards improving her photography skills as someone who enjoys taking photos. She wants to explore type through learning about the relationships between letterforms and how typefaces are developed. Dedicated to constantly learning, she builds and improves her skills to keep up with technology and trends to stay current.

Julia is a quiet yet very compassionate and motivated individual who wants to enjoy life to the fullest. She treasures the ability to do what she loves, spending time with loved ones and make an impact on those who surround her through meaningful relationships.
